The drawbacks of concrete include lack of beauty, and long term maintenance costs. The only type of decking that requires more maintenance than concrete is wood. Pavers, bricks, and other stones are the flip side of that coin - pretty, and low maintenance, but initially more costly.
If the space is small, and all you intend is a grill and a place to eat, you're practically done. If you can only do the basics now, but have intentions of bigger and better add-ons in the future, plan for them now. Make the backyard patio design large enough to include the desired features when you can afford them.
At last, you can start laying pavers in place. When all have been placed, the cutting in process may be started if needed, using a cutoff saw. Paver edge restraint and soldier course should be added to prevent spreading and a layer of joint sand employed, which is to be swept into the cracks. Polymeric sand is suggested, which will harden after it has been added. Although not mandatory, this is a good idea to curtail insects "moving" the joint sand and week growth in the cracks in the patio.
As long as your sliding patio door is no lower than 77 '" and no higher than 82", you can pop the PetSafe patio door right into place. However, once you've got the door in vertically, you may have to do some minor adjusting to get the right sideways fit.
